The Institute
In 1987, Dr. Rich Erickson founded Dental Careers Institute, the first ten-week dental assistant training school in the country. His accelerated, hands-on method proved successful and soon spread across the country. DCI has earned an excellent reputation in the dental community, and since its inception, thousands of certified dental assistants have graduated from DCI.

Our founding principle is to provide a complete and comprehensive dental assistant training program that meets all state requirements at a reasonable cost.
